Cady Sighting

We were at Steve's Grandparent's house a few weeks ago for a Christmas dinner and we had a Cady sighting. She is very skiddesh, and I was surprised that she let me get close enough to take a picture. Also, below is their other cats Cooper, and Cady's mom Missy.

November 2011

The kittens are 6 months now! I can't believe we have had them for that long...and I can't believe how big they have gotten. Seamus is 12 lbs and Rosie is around 8 lbs.

Here are some pics from this month:

Adorable Transformation - Fergus

Fergus was the runt of the litter. At 2 days old he was only 70 g. We were always worried about him because he was so small, and we tried to give him as much one on one time with his mom as possible to feed. His favorite spot was right under her front leg, and we picked her leg up to find him so many times that Calliope started doing it herself when we asked "Where's the little one". For the first month he stayed the smallest, but he was the first one to eat solid food, and he started growing really fast. As you may remember he was the weirdest looking of the bunch - we thought he looked like an alien. I think he just hadn't grown into his head yet. He was adopted by my Aunt and Uncle and is definitely not the smallest one anymore. I think he is the most adorable one of the bunch now.

Here are some pics of his "transformation"

Look at how cool he looks now! (Oct 2011)

Some Movies

Here are some movies from the past few months.

First of all...one of Seamus' favorite toys - the raccoon

Rosie and Seamus always like to run out into the hallway when we are coming in or going out, so I decided to get them a leash and harness. Unfortunately I think Seamus is too big now for the harness.
But this was one of the first few attempts at walking him (Rosie is just too nuts to try to walk)

I love when cats "talk" to birds or bugs. Rosie likes to chatter at falling leaves. Here is Seamus talking to a fly

Rosie and Seamus love to go after drawstrings. Steve caught Rosie when she went after his

When Steve's family lived here I clicker trained their cats Daisy and Scooter to shake a paw, and then high five
Here they are learning to shake a paw:

There were doubts that I could do this with our crazy kittens, but here are Seamus and Rosie giving highfives:

PitaPata Cat tickers
Steve and I have volunteered at the SPCA since June 2010. We try to go every weekend to walk dogs. I am allergic to cats, but Steve really wanted one. We agreed that we would foster kittens for the SPCA to help the kittens, and to test how my allergies would be. We agreed that we wouldn't keep any kittens from the first litter because wanted to do it more than once. Along came Calliope and her kittens. They captured our hearts and there was no way we could give them all back.
