Week 4

The rest of the kittens are starting to learn how to walk!

It was around this when we had started bottle feeding them. Calliope wasn't producing enough milk to sustain 8 kittens and some of them were losing weight. So we gave them all kitten milk replacer. For the kitten's it supplemented what they were getting from Calliope, and for Calliope it helped her produce more milk. Angus and Josie were the bottle hogs of the bunch. The others were a bit more difficult.

At the end of Week 4, Seamus was the largest at 404g (even beating out Josie - 387g who is older) and Fergus was still the smallest by far at 257g

PitaPata Cat tickers
Steve and I have volunteered at the SPCA since June 2010. We try to go every weekend to walk dogs. I am allergic to cats, but Steve really wanted one. We agreed that we would foster kittens for the SPCA to help the kittens, and to test how my allergies would be. We agreed that we wouldn't keep any kittens from the first litter because wanted to do it more than once. Along came Calliope and her kittens. They captured our hearts and there was no way we could give them all back.
